Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is an annual motorsport event held in Long Beach, California. It is one of the most prestigious and iconic street races in the United States, often referred to as “America’s most famous street race.” The event typically takes place in April and features a series of races on a temporary 1.968 mile, 11 turn circuit set up on the streets of downtown Long Beach, including a section along the waterfront.

The main event is a part of the IndyCar Series, which is the premier open-wheel racing series in the U.S. In addition to the IndyCar race, the Long Beach Grand Prix also includes races from other series, such as the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Pirelli World Challenge, and Formula Drift.

The event has been held since 1975, making it one of the longest-running motorsport events in the country. It offers numerous overtaking opportunities, including Turn 1, getting the hairpin turn just before the frontstretch right is critical.
