Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach 2025
April 11 @ 7:30 am - 6:00 pm

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is an annual motorsport event held in Long Beach, California. It is one of the most prestigious and iconic street races in the United States, often referred to as “America’s most famous street race.” The event typically takes place in April and features a series of races on a temporary 1.968 mile, 11 turn circuit set up on the streets of downtown Long Beach, including a section along the waterfront.
The main event is a part of the IndyCar Series, which is the premier open-wheel racing series in the U.S. In addition to the IndyCar race, the Long Beach Grand Prix also includes races from other series, such as the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Pirelli World Challenge, and Formula Drift.
The event has been held since 1975, making it one of the longest-running motorsport events in the country. Over the years, it has attracted a large number of motorsport fans, celebrities, and car enthusiasts. The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is not just about racing; it’s also a major cultural event, featuring concerts, parties, and other entertainment options, contributing to its reputation as a celebration of speed, style, and Southern California culture.
The 1.968-mile, 11-turn temporary street circuit for Indy cars encircles the Long Beach Convention Center — which houses a Family Fun Zone and numerous displays during the race weekend — and runs down scenic Shoreline Drive. It offers numerous overtaking opportunities, including Turn 1, getting the hairpin turn just before the frontstretch right is critical.

Looking for a Free Friday ticket to Day 1!
Once again, you can get a free ticket to Day 1 of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Well, it’s almost free since you have to purchase the newspaper. This is actually my favorite day to go because the crowds aren’t there so you can see more. You can sit in any grandstand, walk in the pits, go into the Convention Center and see the many exhibits and watch all the different types of race cars practice. And…Friday is usually autograph day where you can get the autograph of your favorite driver.
So here’s how you can get your free ticket:
Just purchase a copy of one of the newspapers listed below on either a Friday or Sunday from now until April 14th. Inside, I found mine on the last page of the sports section, you should see something for a free ticket, then follow the printed instructions.
Here is a list of newspapers that take part in the free promotion: The Press-Telegram, the Daily Breeze, the Los Angeles Daily News, the Pasadena Star-News, the Whittier Daily News, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the Orange County Register, the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, the San Bernardino Sun, the Riverside Press-Enterprise and the Redlands Daily Facts.
Event subject to change without prior notice. Please confirm times and dates before attending.
